We arrive to the front of house poster with our name on it and news that tickets have started selling.
It feels like this residency should be the calm before the storm,
Opening night is really close.
Lots of things are not quite finished.
Some may even describe some of those things as .. “not quite started”
Standard panic resumes.
We make work stations in Cambridge Junction Residency Space J3 for costume, LED, film/sound effects .
Junction 2 is set up as working stage space for tech rehearsing and footage filming.
Measuring, planning, de-beading, re-beading, sewing, adding LED lighting.
They are cramming months of specialist hand-crafted work into a seven week time frame.
We use a 5 minute film i made of Lena from the last residency.
We all enjoy watching little Lena watching 10ft Lena do her thing.
We get a bit carried away with the glitter.
I love these photos we got of her.
I wish I had a 20ft projector screen for every project.
We set up to film some scenes with Des and Ben on green screen.
Daisy and Tom have been making plans for a responsive LED hoop throughout this project.
Tom does his magic and takes to his workstation and whips her up a responsive LED hoop prototype.
So we go nuts with that and get these awesome slow shutter shots!
I manage to grab him and his very surreal EL wire Morph suit for a little play with some LED poi whilst the tech team sets Daisy up some Aerial silks and she bandages her feet.
You can come see us and more of what we have been up to at our stall with Fleet Labs at Cambridge E-luminate festival (friday 10th Feb)
In the meantime - GET YOUR TICKETS NOW! Buy from the Junction Box office: 01223 511 511
